No Holiday Card Required
Every year during the holidays my business partner and I sit down to have a conversation and reflect on life and our business. Where we are today. Where we were a few years back. Our successes.
Our errors. What makes us happy. What drives us nuts. Most importantly, how do we become a better version of ourselves and inspire others to do the same. As the conversation evolves, the subject typically moves toward the people around us. “Business is a team sport” he says, “and so is family”.
I could not agree more with my co-founder, our company’s CEO, who also happens to be my husband. After working together for 14 years in the same business and juggling the responsibilities of having three children and our philanthropic initiatives; it has never been clearer to us that what we care about most are people.
We have a big mission at Prizm Health: to change the world by making healthcare more accessible. But at the end of the day, as big as our vision is, we cannot do it alone.
We need people. People who believe in our vision. People who care about health. People who care about people. People who are not scared to go beyond the call of duty. People with integrity. Good people. Over the years, we’ve come to understand that not everybody who wants to be a part of our team fits the bill.
This is the case for not only employees, but for media partners and clients alike. Making sure that we only worked with people who fit the bill is for certain one of our biggest successes of 2015. This focus has led us to build a better company, with people who share our values. People we can call family. A million thanks to our team, our clients, our partners, our colleagues and friends.
Thank you for believing in our vision. Thank you for caring for us and the people we connect each day to better health solutions. Thank you for not being scared to go beyond the call of duty. Thank you for your transparency and honesty. Thank you for your friendship and being part of our extended family.
We hope your holiday is full of joy and filled with many moments to be grateful for. We are super pumped for what 2016 has in store for all of us. May we continue learning, may we continue growing and let’s not forget to continue giving.
