2021 - Medal of Good Citizenship

Zeeshan became a recipient of the most prestigious award in British Columbia. Launched in 2015, the Medal of Good Citizenship recognizes individuals who, through exceptional dedication and service, have made outstanding contributions to their communities without expectation of remuneration or reward. The medal reflects their generosity, service, acts of selflessness and contributions to community life. It was such a difficult decision for the committee to select just 14 individuals from the long list of incredible nominees,” said Melanie Mark, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, and chair of the medal’s selection committee.

Zeeshan Hayat has contributed to not only the business community but to the community at large through his incredible philanthropic works. personally handing out over 400,000 meals to the homeless and food insecure communities in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.

2019 - BC Export Award Winner

The BC Export Awards are the province’s most prestigious awards paying tribute to the success and innovative approaches of BC export companies. Extending across industries the awards recognize achievements in 9 different categories and are a celebration of the contributions exporters have made to both the provincial and national economy. Conceived in 1982, the program has recognized over 300 companies since its inception, reflecting the growth and diversity of BC’s economy over the past 30 years.

2019 - Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (finalist)

In June 2019, Zeeshan was honored as an Entrepreneur of the Year Pacific Finalist by Ernst and Young, a testament to his remarkable contributions to entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneur of The Year® program celebrates the efforts of extraordinary individuals who drive progress by creating the products and services essential for local and global economic advancement. For over 31 years, the EY Entrepreneur of The Year Awards have acknowledged the outstanding achievements of Canada’s foremost entrepreneurs. Please find the attached copy of the award.

Zeeshan received this accolade on two additional occasions, in June 2018 and June 2016.

2019 - Business leader and philanthropist Zeeshan Hayat named 2019 distinguished alumnus

In 2019, Zeeshan received the Douglas College Distinguished Alumni Award. This award recognizes the quality of our graduates and their contributions to the community. It also represents the caliber of the students that go to Douglas College, and the education, training and inspiration they received here. This award is presented at graduation each year.

2018 - Zeeshan Hayat Wins BC CEO Award

The winners were nominated for their corporate leadership of British Columbia companies and institutions.Business in Vancouver, Deloitte and TEC Canada are proud to announce this year’s honourees for the BC CEO Awards. Winning CEOs will be profiled in Business in Vancouver and honoured at a gala dinner where winners will share their leadership lessons to an audience of Vancouver’s business community.

A judging committee chose the honourees by looking at their vision and strategy, financial performance, people development, innovation, social responsibility and sustainability.

In 2014, Karina ranked 45 in the CHATELAINE PROFIT W100 Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs. The agency ranks female business leaders according to a proprietary formula that combines the sales, three-year revenue growth rate and profitability of their businesses. All data is verified through financial statements supplied by candidates. To qualify, candidates must be owners or significant stakeholders who at least share chief decision-making capabilities.

2017 Winner – Influential Business Woman Awards

Acquisition International Awards serve to honour the astounding achievements of female business leaders from all industries. Women-led businesses are a driving force of the global economy, radically increasing family income, supporting local communities and providing recovery in times of economic decline. According to a survey conducted by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), 63% of female business owners in the USA provide 50-100% of the household income, accounting for $432.1 billion in annual payroll.

2017 Shakti Award

in 2017 Karina received the Shakti Award, a celebratory night to recognize women who have made a difference in their communities. Awards are given out in March, in recognition of International Women’s Day – March 8th, to women nominated by community members in 5 different categories.

In Nov 2019, Karina received Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award: Top 100 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Issued by WXN. Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards is the country’s most recognizable award for the highest achieving female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. For the past 16 years, this has been an inspiring and empowering awards event in Canada, with 1,115 award winners and 151 Hall of Fame inductees – powerful women who share our passion for the advancement and empowerment of women.

The Government of Canada celebrated women who have made an impact as pioneers in a number of different domains – including journalism, sports and the military – many of them as the first woman in their field. Read their stories and be inspired by their courage to break new ground and blaze a trail for others to follow.

Launched School Scholarship

Launched an annual scholarship for underprivileged students in developing countries who are looking to attain a Canadian OSSD diploma. This is a 5 year scholarship that provides the student wit opportunities to apply to public Canadia Universities and attain a full post secondary scholarship.

Karina is currently working on her first two books which are due to be published in 2025. She has expressed aspirations for their family to embark on annual mission trips to provide essential services to impoverished children, to establish an orphanage in Pakistan and a homeless shelter in Vancouver as their legacy and expand the scholarship program to hundreds of students.
